Vritti from Mahindra ComvivaThis latest issue of Mahindra Comviva’s quarterly magazine Vritti looks at the trends and technologies driving the next wave of mobile payments and digital commerce and includes articles about conversational commerce, the use of biometrics in payments and ways to address the gender gap in the uptake of mobile money.

Vritti #8 begins with an article examining the rise of chatbots as a means of enabling banks and retailers to connect with customers and identifying key developments in conversational commerce. This is followed by a detailed analysis of India’s Aadhaar national identity initiative and the use of biometrics in the rollout of mobile payments in rural parts of the country.

A third article focuses on how mobile money services can be tailored to the needs of women in developing economies and help to overcome the constraints which currently limit their access to financial services. A fourth looks at the specific benefits of private recharge services for women and mobile network operators in India and Bangladesh.

Vritti #8 also includes a report from Mobile World Congress 2017 as well as links to other recent articles, interviews, press releases and blogs concerning mobile payments and digital commerce.
