NFC Connection Handover User Experience Recommendations

Connection Handover User Experience RecommendationsThis white paper provides a set of recommendations to better align user experiences for NFC connection handover use cases between different implementations.

“NFC should be easy to use, simple, and intuitive for the user,” says the NFC Forum. “Therefore, it is important to provide users with a consistent and pleasant user experience. A consistent user experience also reduces the failure rate for using NFC – which is a very important consideration, as the simplicity of the touch paradigm is one of the major advantages of NFC.”

Three types of recommendations are supplied: general recommendations that apply regardless of the application, recommendations that are specific to audio and video streaming use cases, and recommendations specific to Bluetooth use cases.

This document was produced by the NFC Forum’s Consumer Electronics SIG and has been approved by the NFC World+ editorial team.
