January 2017 edition of Mahindra Comviva’s Vritti magazine

Mahindra Comviva Vritti Edition 7 magazineThis latest issue of Mahindra Comviva’s quarterly magazine Vritti presents a special focus on India’s demonetisation drive, asking how prepared the country is for digital payments.

Srinivas Nidugondi, who heads the mobile financial solutions business unit at Mahindra Comviva, explains why India has a “unique vantage point” to take advantage of the move to digital financial services.

He outlines why both commercial and government initiatives are expected to be successful in leveraging mobile technology, but warns the ability to view digital wallets as not just a medium of payment but as one that manages credentials (either authorisation or access) is “critical” for India’s post-demonetisation future.

The magazine goes on to highlight why UX (user experience) is the “holy grail” of digital payments, and presents case studies of digital money use in India.

This magazine has been produced and sponsored by Mahindra Comviva and has been approved by the NFC World editorial team.
